Papaya and Greek Yogurt Smoothies

Jump to Recipe·Print Recipe

Papaya smoothies are a lightly sweet and refreshing beverage that are sure to keep you cool and brighten your day!!

What you will need:

  • 2 ¼ cups papaya
  • ¾ cup vanilla Greek yogurt (I use Light & Fit)
  • Juice of 3 fresh oranges
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 1/2 cups ice

Inspiration for Papaya Smoothies

Most of the time I have to drive to a surrounding town to find fresh local produce but we have a new produce stand in town, which is super exciting!! I went crazy, as I generally do when I hit a fresh produce stand and over-loaded myself with fresh produce, which means more work than I can usually handle. I had a good idea of all I wanted to create and got to work right away.

There was only a single papaya left at the stand and I nabbed it right up. I love smoothies and make one every single morning for breakfast so I don’t know why I haven’t posted any recipes for you before. I guess they are an after thought after I get going for the day but with the hot temperatures day in and out around here, they have become a nice way to keep cool and cure that subtle sweet craving.
