Price-less Pleasures
As I found myself laying on my back watching the clouds in the sky, I wondered how long it had been since I last took a moment to do this…far too long.
I have loved gazing in to the sky, day or night, since I was a child. Forming the clouds into whatever shape my imagination conjures up, staring into the Milky Way or waiting patiently to catch site of a falling star brings me such peace and joy, and all other thoughts disappear.
When did I stop taking the time to enjoy such priceless pleasures?
How many of you meditate? I try, I truly do and about once a month I actually fit it in to my schedule. Sometimes it seems like a finicky task. So many elements have to come in to play to attain an atmosphere where I can have that much focus.
I know meditation is not the same as laying and staring at the bright blue sky but it is so much more alluring to escape to a place that makes you happy without having to give it so much effort. Sky-gazing is officially back on my weekly to-do list.
How about you? What’s your escape?
