Sugar free strawberry freezer jam is full of fresh Oregon strawberries. A wonderful preserve to spread on your waffles, biscuits, cakes, and much more!
For the Love of Strawberries
Every single year, as soon as strawberry season approaches, my family and myself are scrambling to fruit stands for the first pick of Oregon strawberries to make strawberry freezer jam.
In a previous post, on strawberry shortcake scooters, it was mentioned that this is the first year we made a good portion of sugar free strawberry freezer jam.
Most of the sugar free jam recipes and pectin products we could find available to us, required processing.
After numerous hours of preparing countless batches of regular strawberry freezer jam, neither my mom nor myself were up for the many more hours it would take to process numerous batches of sugar free jam.
We set out on a hunt and after many stops at all of the local stores, we finally found “mrs. wages,” at Bi-Mart.
The recipe did not require processing and had recipes for sugar free freezer jam. You wouldn’t think that combo would be hard to find but let me just tell you that is not the case.
We could’ve pre-ordered something off of the internet but it was a last-minute decision to make the sugar free jam.
We were so thankful for “mrs. wages” to have made this product.
Making Sugar Free Strawberry Freezer Jam
The recipe is quite simple and doesn’t require as many ingredients as using regular cane sugar.
Mash the berries with a masher, then measure out what the packaging calls for.
Slowly stir in the sweetener. Granulated Stevia is what we used in the jam recipe. Transfer to jars or plastic freezer containers.
We allowed to sit out for 24 hours before placing in the freezer, as you would regular freezer jam.
That’s it! It is much simpler than regular freezer jam, requires less ingredients, is more healthful, and is delicious!

How much of the stevia do you use and how many cups of berries thanks

Hi Tammy, thanks for the question. 4 cups of crushed berries and 1 1/2 cups sweetener.
