Description
Everything bagels are low carb and gluten free. Made with a “fathead dough” and topped with a terrific blend of seasonings.
Ingredients
For the dough:
190 grams or 1 2/3 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
90 grams or 1 cup almond flour
45 grams or 1 large egg
1/2 teaspoon granulated garlic
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
For the seasoning mixture:
1 TBL everything but the bagel seasoning OR
2 teaspoons minced onion
1/4 teaspoon poppy seeds
1/4 teaspoon sesame seeds
1/4 teaspoon black sesame seeds
Oil or butter for brushing on top of the bagels
Instructions
For the dough:
Weigh or measure mozzarella, almond flour, granulated garlic and onion powder and place in a microwave safe bowl.
Microwave for 1 minute, remove and stir the contents and microwave for an additional 40 seconds.
Stir the ingredients together until well blended and allow to cool for five minutes, then add the egg and knead in to the dough.
Separate the dough in half and then half again to create four standard size bagels.
Roll each piece to about ¾ inch thick strips and attach the ends together. Place on a pan lined with parchment paper and bake 350° for 16-18 minutes.
For the seasoning:
Combine all the seasonings together.
All together:
Brush the bagels with butter or oil and dip in seasoning mix.
